Shape-Disc
A Shape-Disc is a CD or DVD that is milled from a 120 mm disk. Its outlines can differ from the normal circular form. It can contain audio, video or other data like a normal CD or DVD, but the data volume is very limited because a large part of the recordable surface of the disk is cut out.
Shape-Discs can be used as a special form of advertisement in order to draw attention on a special product or the company itself. For example, they can contain songs, presentations, advertising texts or films and address details (telephone numbers, Email addresses etc.) Round Shape-Discs with 80 mm diameter, known as Mini-Discs, can also contain data volumes of up to, approximately, 200 MB on CD and 1.4 GB on DVD. Because they are so small and light, they are ideal for sending by post. |
